The Morning of the Third Day

====================================

(Rin PoV)

「Nana, We’re logging in a bit early today」

Six in the morning. It seems like Nana has completely recovered the fatigue. Letting out a big yawn and quickly opening her eyes, I call out to her.

About to bite into a Yakisoba bread she was surprised, Nana tilted her head after gulping down the bread.

「Earlier than seven?」

「That’s right. You see, we kinda have an appointment」

「What appointment?」

「Do you remember your coworker Saku? It seems that he’s been busy and is still at Fias. Also it seems like Touka can also free up some time today… 」

「Are the four of us going to have tea time again?」

「Something like that」

“I see” she took the closest Azuki bread and stuffed it into her cheeks, she looks so spaced out I don’t know if she’s paying attention. (9: google azuki bread if you’re curious, basically a bread with azuki stuff in the center)

Satou Sakura… his full name should be that. If I were to imitate Nana, then Saku-chan. We exchanged contact information with him, one of Nana’s coworkers, a boy. No, if I were to put it into current terms, an otokonoko(trap).

He’s a student like Touka. It seems that recently he can’t seem to find the time to game, but since he’s already at Fias, he should be quite a strong player.

Be it the World Tree Hollow, or the Ancient Ruins of Flame, they are both very long dungeons that make you want to sigh.

Since he couldn’t find enough time, it seems that he hasn’t reached Griffis.

During that, this event started, so he said that he’s decided to temporarily give up traveling towards Griffis.

Ever since the meeting, Nana hasn’t contacted Saku, so she probably doesn’t know about his current situation.

Really… this girl, she has absolutely no interest in others.

「By the way, Nana, Saku seems to be a member of Dragon Fang」

「Fuaah….nggu, so the same as Konekomaru-san?」

「That’s right. That clan is big, so since he’s at Fias, then he should be something like a mid-leveled player in the clan.」

Clan 《Dragon Fang》. It is estimated that half of the top event rankers are members of this clan. Currently they’re the clan most accomplished in exploring the story of this game.

They use human wave tactics to search for quests in every nook and corner while using their best players to pathfind at the furthest front lines.

They are thick layered, anyways they are generally considered a balanced clan.

Where the Knights of the Round Table possess overwhelming charisma, Dragon Fang’s forte is performing common tasks using a huge amount of people and the nature of being stable.

「If I’m right….their leader is strong right?」

「Yeah…. though it’s a different sort of strong from Arthur or Nana」

The clan leader 《Drago》 is a great sword user, completely an attacker.

Also the MVP of the party that performed the first Named takedown in this game.

That means just like Nana and Rou, a player with a named equipment.

「Without a doubt, Drago should be able to enter the top rankings. Because that person, besides eating or sleeping is alwaaaaaaays inside the game」

「Hee, that really feels hardcore」

「Well, not really that different from us, though we aren’t as stoic as that person.」

Hardcore(cripple). Once an insult targeted at those addicted to online games, it is being used considerably by casuals these days.

The most recent nuance of the word, is about someone really absorbed into a game, or maybe someone really skilled at games. It’s a word used to praise people, and sometimes to make fun of someone.

Naturally I’m also being called hardcore, most pro-gamers are gaming hardcores.

It’s just that, even to someone like me, I’m also dumbfounded by Drago’s immeasurable passion towards this game.

「After breakfast, let’s log in」

「Ohae(okay)」

She had stuffed all ten pastry breads into her stomach, she mumbled a reply as she stuffed her cheeks with the last one.

「……So? Why is Drago here?」

After logging in, we returned to Fias using a return scroll. We travelled to the shop where we arranged to meet up with Saku, what awaited us was two people.

There was a grim muscled swordsman and a female warrior in full battle armor.

Nana was being Nana, she looked around restlessly comparing the two of them. She looked at me with eyes asking “Why are there two of them here?”

「Sorry Rinne-san. I was really looking forward to this, and when I was looking around I got discovered…」

「Umu. I heard from Bloom that he once met pro-gamer Rinne somewhere. Since I know he’s a huge fan of yours, an idea came to mind so I pressured him for answers. I discovered that he has plans to meet up with you, so I asked him to bring me along」

「I don’t really mind… but the two are you are registered as friends, at least send a message about it」

「I’m sorry, I’ll watch out next time」

The female warrior deeply bowed her head at my words.

After keeping that posture for a few seconds, the female warrior raised her head.

「Miss Sukuna, this is our first meeting. Clan Leader of Clan 《Dragon Fang》, you can call me Drago」

「Hoa…I thought you were a guy…..」

It seems like Nana’s genuinely bewildered. She responded with her eyes wide open in surprise.

Drago.

An alias of the pro-gamer specialized in VR 《Dragon》.

Not a nekama but a genuine woman. (9: Nekama is some a guy playing as a woman in game)

「Fumu, I am told that a lot, but why does everyone think I’m a man…..」

「Probably the name」

「I see…the name is it…」

Putting aside Drago who muttered in contemplation while rubbing her chin, I moved my attention to Saku who froze and stiffened up a bit.

「Sorry, someone weird got involved, was it troubling?」

「N-not at all! Clan leader treats me well…and I’m the one who needs to apologize. Though it might be leader’s request, I couldn’t refuse and brought her along.」

「Uoo….Saku-chan maccho~」

While Saku and I talked somewhat seriously, Nana poked Saku’s muscles in curiosity.

Saku originally wasn’t someone that tall, but in this game he went with the big macho style.

Nana curiously rubbed Saku’s muscles, is it that unusual?

「Ah, Senpai. I’m Bloom here, so please call me that」

「Despite being a macho, your name is girly」

「Uwu」

「Hey, don’t say that」

「Ah, sorry, it’s cute, I like it」

I don’t really think that follows through though.

Saku…Bloom, who in real life looks girlish. He should’ve wanted to enjoy a different him, so he went with this character creation.

Though honestly, I also thought that the name’s cute…

「Sorry for cutting the conversation, but shall we go somewhere quiet? We really stand out」

Being called out by Drago, we entered the cafeteria in Fias.

Aut:

Drago in the thread calls herself wagahai(9: another way of saying I) but actually she doesn’t really call herself that when talking directly. just being playful as she uses it.

Ogre chapter 90 end

9: yeah drago is a girl, did my best to hide that fact, JP has it easy to do that since they don’t really rely that much on words like he and she compared to how much it is used in English.

Yuki(PR): Old tea time, 3 women + 1 who looks female. New tea time, 4 women + 1 macho

  1. Thanks for the chapter.

Will the next pre-chapter message be 4 letters or 5?
If 5 letters then it could be increasing in length based on the Fibonacci Sequence.
Are there any 4 letter greetings in English?

  2. Oh? Drago is a girl? Quite a surprise there tbh, but a welcome one! Saku, saku… to be frank, I completely forgot who he was.

Oh well, tea time next, and Touka is coming too! It feels like forever since we last saw her.

    Thanks for the update!
